Riversdale Leisure Centre Launch New Autumn Programme
New Autumn Programme at Riversdale Leisure Centre
This Autumn Riversdale Leisure Centre is introducing a new programme full of activities that will encourage people of all ages to get active and stay healthy. The facilities promote a wide range of sports and swimming programmes that are accessible throughout the year, as well as playing host to a range of clubs.

Kids & Teen Activities
The exciting new Kids & Teen programme offers a wide variety of activities including a chance to get creative in our new Arts and Crafts class every Saturday from 10:00am or if your a budding young actor/actress the new Speech and Drama class every Friday at 4:00pm maybe more suitable.
If your aged 8 to 11 years, why not come along and enjoy the new Young Stars Multi Skills Club every Wednesday and Saturday, or you fancy a bit of a ‘kick about’, get a group of friends together and enter in the Riversdale 5-A-side Soccer Competition. The Soccer competition will be run every Tuesday & Thursday form 4:00pm – 6:00pm, commencing on the 2 October with rules and registration forms available from Riversdale Leisure Centre.
If your aged 16 or younger, the new £1.00 Pool Fun session every Friday between 4:00pm – 6:30pm could be just the thing after a long week at school, and due to its popularity during the summer, Riversdale Leisure Centre is also offering 30 minute Teen Spinning Classes every Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 4:00pm. Please note, numbers are limited and booking for all spinning classes is essential.
Adult Activities
The new autumn programme caters more than adequately for adults with the popular Aqua Fit, Spinning, Pilates, Kettlebells, Urban Rebounding and Total Body Pump classes being offered as normal.
Why not try something new with the B.O.L.T. or Combo Fitness classes that are designed to boast your metabolism, burn fat and get results fast!
If your a keen golfer and want to improve your mental toughness by working on the physical attributes of your game, register for our new winter Golf Performance Training Programme, designed to focus on key fitness areas specifically needed for this sport.
If you are in the mature years of life, keep young by joining the Riversdale Nifty Over 50’s Club! Simply come on down to Riversdale Leisure Centre on a Tuesday and/or Thursday at 11:00am and enjoy a wide range of activities including group exercise classes, table tennis, badminton, use of the fitness suite, pool, sauna and steam room for only £3.00.
Gym Special Offers
Take advantage of our heavily discounted gym inductions, no extra charge Personal Programmes and One-To-One training sessions during September & October.
Normally £25.00 per person, 14 to 16 years and senior citizens can now get an induction for only £5.00 per person, and individual adult inductions are now only £10.00 each. Better still, join with a friend and an induction is only £15.00 for two people, or £7.00 each for groups of three or more!
Get real value for money when you join in September or October as all new members will receive a Personal Programme tailored specifically towards their exercise goals, and three One –To-One training sessions to help you get started and motivate you along the way. After you have completed your three One-To-One training sessions you are then invited to take advantage of feedback and review sessions which is a positive way of tracking your progress.
Already a gym member? No problem, simply make an appointment at reception and receive all of the above at no extra charge. In addition to this, all current members can also take part in our Early Morning Fitness Challenge which will be on every Tuesday and Friday morning from 7:00pm – 7:45pm, for 8 weeks commencing on the 18 September. Any casual members can pay a reduce fee of £2.00 per session or £15.00 for 8 weeks. Alternatively if you have a gym subscription such as a monthly direct debit or annual membership, this service is free!
Pool Activities
The new public and lane swimming timetable has now been established with new morning, lunchtime, afternoon and evening sessions available throughout the week.
Back from a break over the summer, the Masters swimming programme resumes every Thursday & Friday at 9:00pm and our Aqua Fit classes will be running every Tuesday at 12:00 noon, Thursday at 8:00pm and Friday at 11:30am.
In terms of swimming tuition, Riversdale Leisure Centre is now operating and enrolling for the following courses, Personal Survival Award, Rookie Lifeguard Course, Survive and Save Programme (Including bronze, silver & gold medallion awards) and the National Pool lifeguard Qualification. Furthermore we are also enrolling for adult learn to swim classes which operate on a Monday & Tuesday evening from 9:00pm.
Also a new Riversdale Waterbabies programme for parents & toddlers aged 6 months up to 5 years, is now available however places are limited. Furthermore our children’s swimming lessons programme is also now enrolling however at present we can only offer limited places in class levels 5, 6, 7 and 8.
Unfortunately, the ladies only sauna and steam time will now operate from 8:00pm – 9:30pm every Thursday, to accommodate our new programme. However, female sauna and steam room users will now be able to avail of the deep end of the pool between 8:00pm – 9:00pm.
