Riversdale Leisure Centre's £1 summer promotion
Make it a bumper of a summer with £1 activities at Riversdale. Available for children aged 16 and under, Riversdale is the perfect venue to keep the children entertained throughout July and August with all activities on offer for an incredible £1.
Council chairperson Councillor Thomas Kerrigan, welcoming the initiative said: ‘Strabane District Council wants to encourage children and young people aged 16 years or under to increase their participation in sport and physical activity during the school holidays. Council also wants to provide this service at an affordable price. As a result of this promotion young people throughout the district will be able to avail of all the activities Riversdale have to offer whilst at the same time having fun and making new friends.’
This promotion applies to all activities before 5:00pm Monday to Friday and during normal opening hours on Saturday and Sunday. A wide range of activities are included in the promotion such as swimming, squash, badminton, table tennis, indoor hockey, five-a-side football, indoor bowls, and use of the fitness suite.
Teen Gym sessions in the cardio suite will be offered to 14, 15 & 16 year olds for only £1:00 per session. An induction must be completed prior to using this facility which is being offered at a reduced cost of only £5.00 for July and August.
Zumba, circuit, and spinning classes will also be offered to 13-16 year olds at the promotional rate of £1.00. Zumba on Mondays’ and Circuits on Wednesday’s will be drop in classes run on a first come first serve basis, whereas Spinning on Friday’s must be booked and paid for up to one week in advance. All classes will be at 2:30pm and last for 30 minutes.
Activities should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment on arrival and are subject to availability. A minimum charge will apply for some group activities, for example, £8.00 for indoor football. Full terms and conditions for this promotion can be found at www.strabanedc.com
Parents are reminded that children aged 7 and under should be supervised by an adult at all times when using the Council’s leisure facilities. Parents are responsible for allowing children 8 years and over to use these facilities unaccompanied.
