Childrens Learn To Swim
Riversdale Leisure Centre follows the "Scottish Swimming" programme.
The childrens' swim lessons will cover from the total beginner who has no water confidence to preparing children for competive swimming.
Lessons can be arranged for 3 - 6 years old in the minor pool and 7 - 15 years old in the main pool, depending on the child's ability.
Aims
The aims of the Child Swimming Programme are:
- 1. Promoting national standards of swimming and swimming teaching
- 2. Establishing standardisation of contents and methods
- 3. Establishing clear outcomes for each stage of development.
- 4. Providing stimulating challenges and experiences for children and helpers.
