TYRONE FLEADH 27TH – 30TH JUNE IN CASTLEDERG
Thursday 27th June
7pm – 8pm Guided tour of Castlederg pointing out sites of interest.
8.30pm – 10.30pm Trath na gceist, Table Quiz
9:30pm – 12:00 Midnight two hand/old time dancing Ceili Time in Derg Valley Leisure Centre
Friday 28th June
8pm Official opening taking place in town centre with special guest followed by guest appearance of Darren Breslin and friends, followed by a full blown concert in Derg Valley Leisure Centre 10pm – 12.00 Midnight also pub sessions in local bars.
Ceili 9.30 – 12.30 in St. Patrick’s Hall Castlederg with the Ardmore Ceili Band.
Saturday 29th June
10am – 1pm competitions in St. Eugene’s school.
1pm – 2 pm lunch break
2pm – 4pm competitions
4.30 – 8pm open music session in Ardgort House
6pm – 7pm Aifreann Gaeilge/Fleadh Mass
8pm – 1am let the music ring out with seisiuin ceol on the street and most of the bars till late
10pm – 1am sets ceili in St. Patrick’s Hall with the Long Note Ceili Band.
Sunday 30th June
11am – 4pm competitions in St. Eugene’s school
4.30pm Fleadh culture parade leaves Marius McHugh Memorial Park with Fleadh winners and various Comhaltas branches performing on stage after the parade. Pub sessions all day to late.
9.30pm – 12.30 Social dancing in St. Patrick’s Hall with the McGlone Bros. where the Fleadh draw will take place.
