Economic Development Strategy – An Economic Driver For Change
Strabane District Council is aware of the need to coordinate sustainable economic development in the District. The Strabane Community Plan 2002-2006 has been the blueprint for economic and community development for the past five years. Various organisations have been addressing the actions identified in this plan to create a better place to live, work, play and invest. The Council has developed a new corporate plan for the council vision for the district.
The Economic Development Department, together with support from the Strabane Employment Task Force, intends to consult with the business community, the residents and relevant government and community organisations to develop a sustainable plan for Strabane this summer. We trust the community will respond positively and make their views on a new changing Strabane heard in this plan.
