With the start of 2009, Strabane District Council Arts Dept. is currently working in partnership with Creative Youth Partnership (WELB) and North West Regional College Drama Dept and local primary schools to develop a Junior Drama Festival in the district.

Aimed at Primary 7 children, it is hoped that this project will encourage their interest in story writing; story telling and ultimately, performance on stage with empathise on the children’s ideas of their environment.

This is a first for Strabane District and we hope that participating schools will gain from meeting and working along side the NWRC drama dept. and Alley theatre staff during productions brings new skills back to their individual schools for future projects.
