Art Of Regeneration Connect Project



The Connect Project is supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.  Connect is a four year joint project between Strabane District Council and Omagh District Council, addressing the arts in partnership with communities groups and Government bodies.  It draws together an urban and a rural group from both districts. The areas Chosen are:

-     Ballycolman Estate

-     Villages Together Network

-     Camowen  

-     Carrickmore

This project will enhance the quality of life, health and well being of the communities, while using the arts as effective contributors to economic regeneration and neighbourhood renewal.

The project will have a wide range of Arts activities within each area ie:

-        Media

-        Visuals

-        Performing Arts

-        Multi Media

-        Literature

The Connect Project has been designed in partnership with key stakeholders including the Councils, Neighbourhood renewal groups through the DSD, Investing in Health and a range of community partners.
