HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK
The Environmental Health Department of Strabane District Council aims to make the District Council area a safe place for all those who work and live in the area as well as those people who visit the District.
Health and safety work carried out by Environmental Health Officers includes….
1. Inspecting work places within the District Council area
2.Investigating reports of accidents at work,
3. Investigating complaints regarding unsafe working practices or conditions,
4. Providing information and advice on health and safety issues.
Not all work places are inspected by Environmental Health Officers. A number of workplaces are inspected by Officers from the Health and Safety Executive of Northern Ireland ( HSENI ).So click here to see who inspects what.
