Building Regulation applications fall into 3 main categories: click on heading for further information
Building notice
A Building Notice provides a simplified method of making application for domestic work eg an extension/alteration to a house. It does away with the need for detailed drawings and specifications,
Full plan submission
This application requires submission of 2 copies of detailed construction plans/ specification which are then checked by building control - the client receives a stamped set of drawings and an approval form
Regularisation Certificate
This enables unauthorised work to be certified by Building Control, bringing it in line with the relevant regulatory requirements.
The fees for Building Control work
Building control fees are fixed and are the same for all customers across Northern Ireland- this link will take you directly to a fee calculator. In some circumstances fees for disabled work are not necessary. If in doubt contact office for advice.
